Titan is a moon of Saturn. It housed a Terran Confederation colony.
Although the colony was designed with children in mind, colonists seldom procreated during the first years of colonization, and academic zones were reclaimed for manufacture.[1]
In the early 22nd century, Titan was connected with other settlements at Luna and Mars thanks to the shuttle Sagan.[2]
The "Timmy Tether" (an elastic leash for tying children), gained popularity on Titan before being quickly adopted on all other stations.[1]
Titan was a trade center between the McDanielists of the Sol system and the early Pilgrims. Regular trade routes were being established between Titan and the Centauri colonies.[3]
By the early 27th century, the Terran Confederation used the Port of Titan was the main starbase which built and launched jump-ships for colonization. Considering this move blasphemus, the Pilgrim Alliance decided to cut their incursion at the source and mounted a massive assault to destroy the station. The Confederation proved to be surprisingly strong in defense. Intense fighting around Saturn lasted for 3 days, Titan remained intact and the Pilgrims were forced to retreat.[3]
When the Pilgrim War begun, Arnold Blair reported to Titan.[4]
