Novaya Kiev is a system in the Enigma Sector.
After abandoning their efforts in Ghorah Khar, the Kilrathi under Khasra Redclaw fell back to Novaya Kiev, and they were followed by TCS Concordia. They retreated from the system as well, except some vessels and stations left behind, allowing the Terran Confederation forces to retake it.[1]
- Fearing that a supply depot on the far side of the system might be used as a refueling station on their next advance, Maverick and Doomsday flew in A-17D Broadswords, and, with the assistance of Clydesdale-class tanker Valdez. After encountering a couple of Dorkathi-class guarded by Drakhris, they proceeded to the Depot, guarded by Jalkehis and another Dorkathi.
Meanwhile Stingray and Dallas flew together, the latter dying because of malfunction.[1] - During a routine patrol, Maverick and Doomsday learn that Stingray ran into heavy resistance and ejected, and they were ordered to his rescue. After passing through a wing of Jalkehis, Major Edmond ordered them back because Drakhris and two Kamekh-class closed in. Maverick however disobeyed the orders and rescued Stingray.[2]
- Kilrathi attacks have been reported throughout the Sector. Maverick and Doomsday met with Gilgamesh-class destroyer TCS Hector and with its assistance, moved on to destroy a Fralthra-class destroyer with its Jalkehi escort. They escorted the Hector back to the Concordia, getting past a wing of Grikaths.
Meanwhile Jazz and Stingray had a humiliating mission as punishment for their bad behavior.[3] - A Free Trader-class courier carrying vital comm data was assaulted in the Talbot system and Maverick jumped there on its rescue. On his way there he encountered Drakhris. When he reached Talbot, the ship was already destroyed by a Ralatha-class and its Sartha escort, but not before ejecting a data capsule, which Maverick collected.[4]
In the non-canon losing scenario the top brass ordered Concordia to retreat to Novaya Kiev and the following happen.
- Maverick with Doomsday, Mangler and Dart flew A-17D Broadswords through Drakhris and Jalkehis and attacked a Fralthra-class.
Meanwhile Stingray and Dallas flew together, the latter dying because of malfunction.[5] - Maverick and Doomsday fly an uneventful patrol through an asteroid field, Drakhris and Jalkehis.[6]
- Kilrathi attacks are reported throughout the Sector. Maverick and Doomsday fly an interception mission against Sarthas but during the patrol they engage Jalkehis and Grikaths en route to the Concordia.
Meanwhile Jazz and Stingray had a humiliating mission as punishment for their bad behavior.[7] - The fourth mission is identical to the canonical one.[8]
Destruction of the Fralthra in the 1st mission and recovery of the data in the 4rth mission are obligatory to continue the game.
After these events the Concordia jumped to the Heaven's Gate system.[9]
