An Terran Confederation Ensign.

Biography[edit | edit source]

He is a specialist not only in Terran fighters but also in Kilrathi engineering systems as he studied on salvaged debris of Fralthi-class at the Confed HQ.[1]

In his late teens he was assigned to the TCS Tiger's Claw after Operation: Thor's Hammer as a technician.[2]

While in Firekka system, he heard about a patrol that ran into a Kilrathi transport convoy. He was leaving to the planet for a shore leave, and he shared his concerns with Captain Ian St. John. He repsponded that he shouldn't worry about a stray convoy; however he decided to have some fun with the green junior officer, saying that the Firekkans are giant mammal-eating wasps. Terrified, Jimmy changed his mind about visiting the Firekkans, but his friend protested, and the shuttlecraft pilot pushed him inside. When on the planet, he saw that the Firekkans are actually giant birds.[2]

The next mornng He met Hunter again as their leave was revoked and were returning to the shuttlecraft to the Claw. Hunter had a bad hangover from Firekka's Finest and as Jimmy took a bit of a bacon and jalapeno sandwich, he caused Hunter to throw up.

Back in the Claw, it was Jimmy who performed the checks on Hunter's F-44 Rapier II. He saluted and introduced to each other.[3]

Again he tended Hunter's Rapier before he went to search for the KIS Ras Nik'hra. Because of his specialty with the Kilrathi systems, he was in the troopship with the Confederation Marines that boarded the Fralthi.[1] After its capture, The Ras Nik'hra formed up with the Claw for a week, and because of his expertise in Kilrathi systems, Jimmy was assigned on the Fralthi to doublecheck some of the ship systems in preparation for taking it to the Confed High Command, back to Sol Station. During his absence, Sparks from the TCS Austin replaced him on the Claw.[4]

When Hunter learned this, he landed in the Deck of the Ras Nik'hra without permission, as Jimmy, in a spacesuit, was studying a panel on the wind of a Dralthi Mk. II. With an obvious enthusiasm, Jimmy described to Hunter all the new details of this new Dralthi as unexpectedly Hunter opened the hatch and boarded it to turn it on, ignoring Jimmy's protests. Frightened, Jimmy stood in the airlock. Hunter took the Dralthi out for a test leaving Jimmy wondering how he was going to explain this to his superior officers.[4] When Hunter returned to the Claw, Jimmy was also there, working on a disassembled fighter engine.[4]

After a day's disappearance all thought that Hunter was dead. Jimmy was relieved to see him returning (in a very lousy way) just moments before the Claw jumped back to Confed space.[5]

Character and appearance[edit | edit source]

He is blond with blue eyes.[2] Like many technicians, he was a techno-junkie, and his voice brightened when talking about gadgets and widgetry.[4]
