The Gilgamesh-class Destroyer was a destroyer-class vessel that existed in the Wing Commander universe. They appear in Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi.

The Gilgamesh was the more powerful successor to the older Exeter class destroyers of the 2650s. They primarily served as escorts for carrier battle groups but were fully capable of facing Kilrathi vessels in a one-on-one battle. Gilgamesh destroyers were heavily armed and caused enormous losses to the Kilrathi fleets, but several were lost in combat during the Enigma Campaign. These destroyers cannot carry fighters. They were very fast for their size, so they usually were able to escape enemy ambushes.

Known vessels of this class include the TCS William Tell and the TCS Beowulf, both of which served as escorts for the T.C.S. Concordia. However, both of them were lost trying to defend this vessel.

Gilgamesh destroyers were first commissioned in the 2660s, so they were probably active beyond 2669.
