The Asjaka-class bomber was a 3-seated bomber used by the Kilrathi. It contains a pilot and a weapons officer.
In preparations of the McAuliffe Ambush, it was used to test an experimental shield-penetrating torpedo. The test was made against an old Butha-class cruiser whose phase shielding was successfully penetrated by the torpedo before detonating, destroying the target. The bomber had to stop in order to launch the torpedo, and then leave in full throttle. The test was shown to the 8 clan leaders and fleet commanders.[1]
